It is six O’clock in the morning and the new HR manager has moved into a new role with hopes and aspirations touching the sky for a wonderful career ahead. He has been on the run fast and furious; he has been running fast, but strenuously fatigued. His only condolence has been his dream of achieving personal effectiveness and success in his career and life.
He has been promoted from an assistant HR manager to manage the HR function after nine years of experience through which he has ascended the ladder through moving from organizational design to organizational development; resourcing and talent planning; and from learning and talent development to employee engagement. His new role has raised his adrenaline and made him feel intoxicated under the immediate drunkenness of triumph with oblivious disregard of what is yet to come.
What do you think the most important areas the HR manager has to focus on in his new assignment? How can he map the scope of those areas? What challenges he may face and how can he overcome those challenges?
This is an open discussion and all comments are welcome.
